There is a legend that once a man and a woman were one creature, one soul, but the gods divided them into two halves, which were scattered around the world. And now, following the call of their hearts, they are looking for each other because they can be complete and happy only together.
Unfortunately, not everyone manages to meet this or that one or only one on their way. After all, it is not at all easy among the thousands of people who meet on the way to recognize their person. And it is so easy to make a mistake, to be mistaken, to miss, to overlook … But if this suddenly happens such a meeting, then the two lovers become one and indivisible whole. Such is the picturesque and romantic story …
This legend is symbolically reflected in the exposition of the exhibition. Anna Silivonchik combines here separate works, often written in different years, into peculiar semantic duets or diptychs. The paintings, created in a slightly different manner and technique, are united by a common theme - the theme of love. Thus, opening her exhibition on February 14, Valentine's Day, the artist invites viewers to speculate about what an ideal couple and true love are.
