On March 6, 2013 at 17.00 in the cafe “Art-yard” of the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus the opening of the exhibition of paintings by Anna Silivonchik “A table for two” will take place. The exhibition will run from March 7 to April 29, 2013.
Anna Silivonchik is a famous Minsk artist, whose works, created in a unique author's style - a kind of transformation of naive and fantastic realism, invariably impress with images full of incredible inner strength, vitality and optimism. The multi-layered and metaphorical nature of the pictorial language, as well as the subtle irony with which Anna often portrays human “weaknesses” from a completely unexpected angle, almost always bring a smile. However, this figurative aesthetics is far from superficial and frivolous optimism. Anna's work is a kind of philosophy of life, born of deep emotional experiences and reflections on the meaning of life and not devoid of latent sadness and anxiety, which are easy to notice, you just have to take a closer look at the details. Such experiences are often associated with certain cycles of human life, among which, of course - and the change of seasons, which inevitably affects the emotional state of a person as part of a natural miracle.
“A table for two” is a space of intimate (in a broad sense) experiences of a completely diverse nature, associated with spring awakening and liberation. Among the many characters who have dropped by the spring cafe, it is easy to recognize yourself or someone from your loved ones, the situation in which you once found yourself - pleasant or a little piquant. Because there is no such feeling or emotion that Anna would not have touched in her work, for whom the world of human feelings is the main meaning of life and the main theme of creativity. And it is difficult to say about this better than the artist herself: “Already the first migratory birds fill the sky with their solemn hymns and sublime odes, quivering romances and heartfelt serenades. The chorus of March cats echoes them with inspiration and hysterics. To the sounds of the wind flute, to the harpsichord, drops and timpani of thunder, the soul sings, and the heart joyfully dances in the chest of mazurka, quadrille and waltz. Obeying the eternal law of nature, everything around is transformed and flourishes. Trees are in a hurry to try on dresses from the new spring collection, and even the sun flirtatiously admires its reflection in the puddles.
Spring is a time of change, a time of hope and, of course, love. After all, it is this feeling that invariably inspires us and gives new plots for creativity to musicians, poets, artists. And it is love in all its manifestations that is for me the main meaning of human life and the main source of inspiration”.
Therefore, the exhibition "A Table for Two" in the art cafe of the museum presents about 20 works by Anna of recent years, united by "spring mood and amorous and romantic themes."

The history of art, mixed with the human factor, has always been full of various mysteries and paradoxical phenomena. For example, in the history of Russian fine arts there were two painters, two siblings who simultaneously studied and graduated from the School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in Moscow. However, their creativity and worldview were completely different, however, like themselves, they were diametrically opposed both in character and in fate. It's about the Korovin brothers - Konstantin and Sergei
