Street art is an extremely necessary thing in our time, since it is banned to one degree or another, that is, in the underground. But it is in the underground that real talents are born, as it was with the punk culture in the United States in the early seventies. Actually, due to insolence, unusualness, unusualness and talent, many of these works continue the ideas of the old school punk culture.

The whole world is full of talent in the field of street art. It is worth recalling the recent material about the street artist ROA, who diversified the life of ordinary people, first in Belgium, and then in a bunch of other cities in the USA and Europe. But he is just the tip of the iceberg.

Let's go first to South America, or rather to Brazil where Jorge Galvao lives, a talented street artist and illustrator who even managed to publish a book with a unique cover. On the walls, he paints strange faces, perhaps even the same person, who frightens and attracts at the same time. A kind of symbol of dormitory areas, pale-faced and indifferent. More of his work can be seen here.

Now let's visit something closer - Europe. More precisely, Rome. There, in April, as many as five local artists - provocateurs - contributed to the beauty of the city. Hitnes, Lucamaleonte, Murphy, Alt97, Alice - these are their names, each of them has a website or at least a page on flickr that you can visit if you want to get acquainted with their work in more detail. Some of this is very obscene, but funny. And symbolic.

Let's not leave Europe yet and take a look at the underground culture of Portugal. Here, walking by chance into one of the dark alleys, you can join the gloomy abstractions of Tosco. Incomprehensible aliens or people, in a cold damp dead end, make an indelible impression. In addition to abstractions, Tosco loves to draw monsters and other evil spirits. You can see his work here.

Now it's time to cross the ocean and visit Los Angeles. Since we are talking about punk culture, which, in fact, originated in the USA, one cannot but visit the wall in West Hollywood, dedicated, nevertheless, to the British punk idol - Sid Vicious. The artist is someone named Mr. Brainwash (Mr. Brainwash). I highly recommend visiting his website - I don't know about flushing, but a brain explosion is guaranteed.

That's all for now. Although, in the end, we will look into Warsaw and visit the muse of street-art'a. It would seem that. Ordinary sculpture, what does it have to do with graffiti and other underground? Yes, in principle, none. It is one of 21 baroque sculptures in the Saski Garden (Ogród Saski), the royal garden in the center of Warsaw. Each is a muse to some art or science - from medicine to astronomy, as announced by a plaque under each of them.. except for one, which was without a plaque. Street artist NeSpoon decided to fix this by simply engraving a plaque for the lonely statue, creating a street art muse. This very bold step of the young artist, which someone, perhaps, will perceive as an act of vandalism, nevertheless, proves one thing - the underground will always be at its best. Such is the paradox
