Sydney-born artist Kareena Zerefos 28 years old, she lives and works in London, loves children, animals and creativity. It is not hard to guess what exactly animals and children are the main theme for the paintings of Karina Zerefos. Karina depicts children in costumes of birds and animals, as if they were going to participate in a themed carnival. In fact, this is just a visualization of some affectionate nicknames that parents give their "birds", "cats", "mice", "bunnies", "bears" and "lambs".

In addition, Karina wants to show how small children are like little animals: whether by habits, behavior, a desire to fearlessly learn about the world, to get it on the nose for it, but not to step back, but to learn from their mistakes, getting burned and oozing. And, of course, babies always find a common language with animals, especially those that live with them side-by-side in an apartment or in the backyard.

The artist draws mainly with pencils, but from time to time she combines them with watercolors and gouache, markers and ballpoint pens, and sometimes she replaces paper with processed wood prepared for drawing. Not so long ago, the girl graduated from the Higher School of Fine Arts (UNSW), more of the artist's paintings are on her personal website.
