If you were an employee of an advertising agency, how would you react to an offer to advertise a drill company? This is really not an easy task, because drills are pretty … boring. But Makita took such an important matter as advertising its own company and the services it provides seriously. For advertising, a large canvas was chosen, but the dimensions themselves are not important. Since it was necessary to advertise drills, they decided to do it with the help of drills.
On the canvas, no more, no less, but 20,081 holes were drilled! But not in a chaotic manner, of course. In this way, a drill was drawn, and the name of the company and the signature "Precision from Makita" were drilled out. Why is it about accuracy? It is clear that accuracy is important when working with a drill. But it is also worth considering the fact that when creating an advertisement it was necessary to take into account every millimeter - the canvas is huge, there are more than 20 thousand holes, which means that a lot of calculations had to be done. Of course, such an advertisement came out not too bright and attracting attention, but the work was titanic. Besides, the main thing is originality, and you can't refuse this poster. In the end, no more interesting advertising for drills has yet been invented.
