The list of deadly sins is often interpreted by creative people in their works. Drawings are often created on this topic, but so far no one has been able to associate sins with dishes. Until the young London designer Kacper Hamilton came along with his collection of wine glasses.
As you might have guessed, the set includes seven glasses, each of which represents a certain sin: anger, gluttony, pride, lust, laziness, envy and greed. The choice of wine glasses to illustrate sins is not accidental: its roots go back to the history of Christianity, where red wine is associated with the blood of Christ.
Casper Hamilton says that his glasses are made for those people who take the liberty of admitting their sinfulness and demonstrating it with a dose of theatricality. Eye-catching, witty and charmingly beautiful, these glasses are not created for a practical purpose - on the contrary, their intended use can be quite dangerous. If someone dares to drink from them, it will no longer be just a sip of wine, but a real challenge to oneself.
All glasses are made in London. They are handcrafted and, of course, produced in limited quantities (100 sets). Undoubtedly, such a set, despite its impracticality and non-functionality, will interest many collectors. The unusual tableware can be purchased for £ 750 by pre-ordering it online.
