May holidays are traditionally considered the opening of the resort season on the Black Sea. The Second Open Championship of Living Sculptures, which took place in the Ukrainian city of Evpatoria in early May, was timed to coincide with this event.
According to eyewitnesses, the most common characters of the championship were actors turned into statues of famous artists such as Pushkin, Gogol, Schiller and Shakespeare, as well as those who depicted monuments known throughout the world: the Statue of Liberty, the Motherland, the Unknown Soldier. …
Fairy tale characters, child dolls and whole compositions-scenes taken from films, cartoons and books were also popular. More than 70 artists from Ukraine, Russia, Germany, France, Spain and the United Arab Emirates took part in the competition, and it was recognized as the largest event of its kind. It is known that the winner of the second round will receive a large cash prize.

How to get to the Mars branch on Earth: Hormuz Island, where the sea and the coast are red
The first sensation that arises for everyone who has seen this extremely arid and extremely bright island in the center of Iran is one thing: you are on another planet. Houses of all colors and shades, Iranian hippies scurrying through the streets, local women in clothes unusually bright for ordinary Iranians (a multi-colored dress and no less colorful patterned veil) - this, of course, is unusual. But the most shocking feature of Hormuz is its multi-colored sand, for which the island was nicknamed Rainbow Island throughout the world. They also call him filia

Shelter for introverts: What attracts the hotel on the Skeleton Coast - in a place from which it was possible to escape living units
This place seems very gloomy: the part of the coast of Namibia, which extends to the border with Angola, is a desolate desert, in which wrecks of ships and boats meet. People often died here, and it is no coincidence that this natural park was named "Skeleton Coast". However, in our time there are many people who want to visit these lands. Moreover, a hotel has recently appeared here: houses, standing right in the middle of the desert, are stylized as sunken ships
Hvitserkur: Stone Dinosaur on the Greenland Sea Coast
Perhaps, all residents of the post-Soviet space, who at least once went to the Crimea on vacation, have a photograph against the background of Mount Koshka or Bear, for which the southern coast is so famous. Abroad also has its own wonders of nature. For example, in northern Iceland, tourists come to admire a rock in the shape of a dinosaur drinking water. The 15-meter stone creature lives on the coast of Hunaflowi Bay and is called Hvitserkur
After Waterloo: why in the second world it came to open war between England and France
France and Great Britain entered World War II in the same camp. These two ambitious powers were united by the threat of Nazi Germany. Therefore, few could even imagine that in the summer of 1940, yesterday's allies would find themselves in a state of real war with each other. Shooting collisions took place, it even came to aviation and the use of heavy battleships. A major naval battle between the British and French claimed the lives of more than 1,200 sailors and led to the rupture of diplomatic missions
