Some time ago, pictures of Hollywood stars of the first magnitude appeared on the network, holding the newspaper "Kopeyskiy Rabochy" in their hands. Of course, the photographs were at first perceived as a joke, and even a poll among newspaper readers showed that not everyone believes in the authenticity of the photographs. However, the photos turned out to be genuine, and the stars were real. In this review, a story about why a small town in the Chelyabinsk region received such an honor, and how unique photographs were obtained.
The mining town of Kopeisk with a population of only about 150 thousand people, located 30 kilometers from Chelyabinsk, has recently gained worldwide fame. Photos of stars with a local newspaper in their hands literally conquered our open spaces. Johnny Depp, Nicole Kidman, Matt Damon, Angelina Jolie, Jackie Chan, Will Smith, Bruce Willis, Harrison Ford, Richard Gere and many other actors, it turns out, are interested in news from the Russian hinterland. Interested readers conducted their own investigation, found other photos of these stars from the same photo shoots in order to expose the deceivers who own Photoshop, but it turned out that there was no one to bring to light - all the photos are genuine, and the Hollywood divas really look through this particular newspaper with interest and smiles.
Anna Vikalyuk, editor-in-chief of Kopeysky Rabochy, does not hide her Hollywood correspondents and willingly tells how their publication manages to get such pictures. According to her, the former resident of Kopeysk Margarita Sushkevich, back in the early 2000s, married the famous producer Jack Tewkesbury and moved to America. The name of this man is not well known in Russia, although he has been a popular film critic and journalist for many years, produces the Golden Globe Awards on NBC and directs the prestigious Young Artist Award.
Visiting her homeland, Margarita once took with her a stack of numbers of "Kopeyskiy Rabochy". The woman did not work in this publication before, but she was friends with many journalists and, probably, just decided to make a gift to her hometown. In March 2011, she began sending in exclusive interviews with the stars and newspaper photos that made so much noise. Johnny Depp was the first in the "action". Since then, this connection has become permanent and it lasted for about four years - Russian newspapers flew to America, and interviews and photographs returned.
Dmitry Sogrin, the former editor-in-chief of a small but sensational publication, at which this story began, spoke about how incredible the photographs first caused disbelief:
It is interesting that for Hollywood stars, who probably sell every second of their time and insure every centimeter of their body, this promotion was absolutely free. Anna Vikalyuk cannot tell exactly how these photo shoots took place, she suggests that the photo with the newspaper was part of the screen tests of the actors, in which they should have just taken a picture with the newspaper in their hands - that's why the stars look so natural in the pictures. Russian jokers on the net have now got a wide field for activity - they add Soviet apartments and the realities of our remote places as a background to the photographs of the film stars with "Kopeysky Rabochiy", it turns out really funny.
Unfortunately, information has recently appeared that the hype surrounding these photographs did not please “our Hollywood correspondents”. In search of a clue to the mystery of strange photographs, journalists began to go directly to Margarita Sushkevich and Jack Tewkesbury, which did not form them at all. The couple is already at a fairly respectable age, and by sending these pictures to Russia, they simply made a gift to the city of Kopeysk and its newspaper. Of course, they did not count on a world scandal, and let's hope that it will not break out.
In the meantime, the editorial office of the newspaper, which received such a fabulous gift, uses exclusive photographs to issue small editions of gift calendars and opens an exhibition where everyone can admire how Hollywood stars read news from the Russian hinterland with interest. The editorial office has already accumulated about thirty unique pictures.
According to the management of Kopeysky Rabochy, they did not expect to cash in on photographs with stars, because they did not buy a local newspaper in a small town from these publications anymore. Rogvolodovich, not Rurikovich: Why Prince Yaroslav the Wise did not love the Slavs and did not spare his brothers
In the official historiography, Yaroslav the Wise for a long time appeared to be an almost sinless ruler, the creator of legality in the Russian lands. In our time, he is already accused of sending several of his brothers to the next world in order to occupy the Kiev throne. But was it only the desire for power that drove Prince Yaroslav? If you look at the history of his family, then everything that happens is more like revenge … to his father. Bloody revenge for bloody atrocity
Why did the Germans want to kidnap Stalin, Roosevelt and Churchill, and why they did not succeed
The plan to kidnap the leaders of the "Big Three" states could be called an adventure, if not for the punctuality and scale with which the Germans were preparing for the operation. One thing the German leaders did not take into account before the "Long Leap" - the activity and awareness of Soviet intelligence, the coherence and scale of their secret, but effective work. Thanks to the timely detention of SS saboteurs and the arrests of German agents, the USSR special services managed to disrupt the operation already at the first stage it was completed

Why Rostov was nicknamed "dad", and Why local crime was considered very powerful
In the 19-20 centuries, the largest southern center of Russia, Rostov-on-Don, if anyone was inferior in terms of development, it was only Odessa. Here, two worlds developed in parallel - a rapidly growing merchant city and a haven for thousands of criminals of all varieties. The concentration of multiplying capital attracted thieves, swindlers, robbers and raiders. It was criminality that brought the city its "fatherly" fame and the nickname popular to this day
