Probably, we are all a little tired of shocking, but not pleasing dolls (such as, for example, the stunningly disgusting Amanda Louise Spade dolls), or of faceless Barbie clones and the like. This confirms the increased interest in designer dolls, which can give odds to any conveyor Barbie. Collectible dolls from Zemfira Dziova - a real work of art. On each of them, their creator works long and painstakingly in order to breathe life and individuality into the formless material. Of course, Dziova dolls are not for children's games - adult collectors dream of them.
Zemfira Dziova lives in Vladikavkaz. She has been fond of dolls since childhood, since when, at the age of five, her grandmother taught her how to make her first doll. However, Zemfira did not study anywhere specifically to make dolls. Although she is a person who knows art firsthand: first an art school, then a design department at an art school, and finally the faculty of painting and graphics at the North Ossetian State University. But the most important thing is the atmosphere of creativity in the family, because Zemfira Dziova's father is the famous Ossetian artist Batraz Dzov. It was from her father that Zemfira inherited her love for nature.
Despite the fact that Zemfira Dziova is a professional artist (now she works as an art editor for the Nogdzau magazine, illustrates books), she carried her love for the doll throughout her life. She independently mastered this art, developed the technique herself, tried many materials, but opted for ceramics and self-hardening plastics.
Collectible dolls from Zemfira Dzova surprise with filigree finishing. Each such doll is two or three months of painstaking work of the master. Most of all, Zemfira Dziova has dolls that embody the seasons (the “Seasons” series). However, she does not work in the same style, but loves to fantasize. Like Lydia Snul's dolls, Dziova's collectible dolls are also fabulous creatures. In addition, she has a series of dolls with national themes. By the way, such dolls, as the artist says, are in great demand.
