Photographer Max de Esteban from Barcelona has truly X-ray vision. This feature allows him to look inside any object that falls into his hands, literally shine through it. At least, this is exactly the impression one gets about this person when you look at the series of photographs he took under the title Proposition One … What is the secret of this unusual photo project? Working on Proposition One, the photographer decided to demonstrate to the public the commonality of art and technology by transforming household appliances into works of art using the same modern technologies. To do this, he needed a good camera, a computer with image processing programs, and a set of tools.

Like an X-ray beam that shines through the human body layer by layer, Max de Esteban disassembled the technique selected for a photo shoot, having time to capture on film each "layer" being removed. Then, using a computer, he put all the photographs together, so that they got illustrations that resemble X-rays.
