Jason Isley presented an unusual series of underwater photographs in which small figures of people actively participate in the life of marine life. Light humor in these photos is organically combined with edification and enlightenment.
Jason Isley Now 42 years old, he has been active in underwater photography for most of his life. He happened to fulfill orders for many famous companies and TV channels, including Disney, Animal Planet, Discovery and the BBC … In search of new expressive means, he managed to change many approaches and take pictures of a wide variety of aquatic inhabitants: from humpback whales to the smallest marine life. The last series of photographs Jason - another result of his creative search.
Regular readers Kulturologia may have noticed the influence of the street art style of the artist Slinkachu on the new series of shots Jason Isley … In his interviews, the author confirms this conjecture, but unlike Slinkachu he places tiny human figures not in a dull industrial environment, but in a living underwater environment.
Jason Isley I didn't want to simplify my task by filming all the material in my own aquarium. Instead, he scuba dived into the sea, built the desired compositions in natural conditions and waited for the right moment. At the same time, the waiting time ranged from 15 minutes to two hours, and at least one picture taken was considered good luck.
The matter was further complicated by the fact that some marine inhabitants were too timid and were afraid to swim close enough, and some of them clearly lacked modesty and they swam away, taking with them the figures of people.
When you start taking these photos, Jason Isley set himself educational and educational tasks, but realized that they could be realized only by catching the viewer on the hook. Given the success of this series, it can be assumed that the viewer is "caught" and the publication of a book of photographs should be expected in the near future Jason.
