Paris Gallery of Comparative Anatomy and Paleontology - the place is unique, because it houses the largest collection of skeletons. The gallery is part of the complex of the National Museum of Natural History, it was opened in 1898, and since then scientists have managed to combine exhibits brought from expeditions by great naturalist travelers of the 18-19 centuries under one roof.
The huge collection is located on two floors, scientists have managed to reconstruct the skeletons of various vertebrate species, including prehistoric animals. Perhaps the most interesting part of the exhibition is the Comparative Anatomy Department, where a thousand skeletons are installed along the entire length of the building. The skeletons are "assembled" in such a way that it seems as if they are all in motion and heading in the same direction.
Visiting the gallery, you can clearly see the whole process of evolution of vertebrates: from fish to birds, from reptiles to mammals. Some groups of animals have already disappeared from the face of the earth, others still live today. Curious visitors can clearly see how the adaptation of living organisms to the changing habitat (land, sea, air) took place.
The museum was founded in 1653 at the initiative of the physician King Louis XIII. At first, a garden with a variety of plants appeared here; over 15 years of its existence, it turned into a luxurious botanical garden, which was opened to visitors. The aristocrat and naturalist George-Louis Leclerc de Buffon took great pains to decorate it. Under his patronage, the garden became an English-style national park. The Natural History Museum was officially opened in 1793 during the French Revolution. In the 19th century, glass rooms were built, which housed galleries of paleontology, botany and mineralogists, greenhouses, aviaries and exhibition halls.

This place seems very gloomy: the part of the coast of Namibia, which extends to the border with Angola, is a desolate desert, in which wrecks of ships and boats meet. People often died here, and it is no coincidence that this natural park was named "Skeleton Coast". However, in our time there are many people who want to visit these lands. Moreover, a hotel has recently appeared here: houses, standing right in the middle of the desert, are stylized as sunken ships
