Paris and New York are two centers of our Civilization. Each city has its pluses, each has its minuses. And the debate about where to live is endless. A series of comparative illustrations is devoted to these disputes between the adherents of Paris and New York. Paris versus New York by graphic designer Vahram Muratyan.
New York and Paris are two world centers of attraction. World culture, world fashion, world economy and other trends are created here. They are worthy competitors to each other, each of which has certain positions in which he is ahead, but not enough to consider the competitor a complete loser.
Therefore, there is a fierce debate about which of these cities is the best. These arguments are, of course, endless and useless. But, nevertheless, they are interests in themselves. The series of graphic works Paris versus New York, created by Vahram Muratyan, is devoted to these disputes.
This series so far consists of a dozen illustrations, each of which compares certain similar moments in the life of Paris and New York. For example, Parisian baguette and New York donut, filmmakers Woody Allen and Jean-Luc Godard, pigeon and rat, espresso and Americano, Roland Garros and U. S. Open.
Only a few of these illustrations by Vahram Muratyan can clearly define which is better and which is worse. Often, the things and concepts depicted on them are equivalent. After all, each of the cities has its own specifics. So the dispute between New York and Paris is endless. And this series only clearly demonstrates this.
