Scenic canadian lake abraham (Abraham Lake) is a man-made miracle. It was created during the construction of the Bighorn Dam on the North Saskatchewan River, and was named after Silas Abraham, who lived in this area in the 19th century. This lake is a favorite spot for photographers, as its ice sheet is dotted with patterns from frozen air bubbles.
The reason for this natural phenomenon can be explained very simply: methane bubbles rise from the bottom of the lake to the already frozen edge of the ice. They freeze at different depths, which creates such an extraordinary visual effect. Methane throughout the winter is produced by plants that grow on the bottom of the lake.
Despite the fact that Lake Abraham is unusually beautiful, walking along it does not evoke pleasant memories for most photographers. Often, the winter temperatures at the foot of the Rocky Mountains are very low (about 30 degrees below zero and a piercing icy wind), and there is practically no snow cover. Walking on the ice is not at all a pleasant occupation, since its surface is dotted with cracks, and the dark bottom, peeping through the "threads" of bubbles, looks ominous.
By the way, Canada, rich in natural wonders, is good not only in winter, but also in autumn. On our website Kulturologiya.ru we have already written about the natural charm of Algonquin Park, as well as about salmon spawning in the Adams River, which attracts tourists from all over the world.

Bubbles, bubbles on the table
Even the most beautiful wooden table can hardly be called a work of art, although sometimes it happens. However, some designers know how to turn their idea into a miracle. Liana Yaroslavskaya, our compatriot, knows
