Young talented photographer Philip Karlberg presented to the famous magazine Plaza Magazine his next photo project, in which only three characters are involved: wooden pegs, a shield with holes and sunglasses. With the help of these characters and the right lighting, the photographer recreated portraits of famous peoplewho are famous for their love of sunglasses and rarely show up in public without this cover. This idea of portraits made of wooden pegs, the author has been hatching for several years, but only as an idea. It took shape and became an art project only when the photographer decided to use sun glasses along with the pegs. The result impressed him so much that very soon a whole series of original portraits was ready for publication in the famous Plaza Magazine.
Accessories, as a rule, help a person stand out from the crowd, decorate himself, add completeness, or mystery, or sophistication to his image … In general, season it with the appropriate type of spices. For his art project, Philip Karlberg chose those who are known for their love of sunglasses from the sun. So, in the portraits it is easy to recognize Karl Lagerfeld, Johnny Depp, Lady Gaga, Elton John, the wife of President Kennedy …
The preparation of the art project with sunglasses took very little time from the author. Everything about everything took him 6 days, 6 pairs of glasses and about 1200 wooden pegs.
