The rich have their own quirks, and the evidence is overwhelming. A striking example is giant 50-meter aquarium, installed instead of a fence in a luxury villa businessman Mehmet Ali Gokceoglu in the city of Izmir (Turkey).
Mehmet Ali Gokceoglu is an engineer by training, eight years ago he had a crazy (from the point of view of common sense) project to build an aquarium, which would be hard to find anywhere in the world. His villa, located on the shores of the Aegean Sea, has become a real local attraction; thousands of tourists come here to see the miraculous aquarium, in which hundreds of fish and octopuses swim.
The construction of the aquarium turned out to be very laborious: the easiest way was to create the required glass frame, the most difficult - a special 400-meter pipeline through which water enters the aquarium in order to constantly keep it clean. The construction was carried out by a team of diving specialists, whose work cost the businessman 40,000 Turkish lira ($ 21,000). As Mehmet Ali Gokceoglu himself assures, he was ready to part with a tidy sum of money to make his dream come true. In addition, now he is happy that thousands of people can now admire his creation.
In the aquarium, you can see bream, perch, eel, octopus and other marine life. In total, there are about a thousand fish living in this man-made miracle. Of course, Mehmet Ali Gokceoglu also took care of the safety of the aqua fence: 17 security cameras were installed throughout the surrounding area to prevent the actions of hooligans who might think of breaking the aquarium or catching fish swimming there. Tourists can freely take pictures of the aquarium, make video recordings, however, without getting close.
Of course, the Turkish aqua fence is one of a kind. True, on the site Kulturologiya. Ru we have already written about other unusual aquariums, for example, about aquariums in telephone booths, which can be seen on the streets of Lyon (France) and Osaka (Japan).
