"Golden domes on the chest are pinned" - this is what comes to many minds when they mention tattoos. But in reality, tattooing is not a dubious pastime for criminals, but an ancient and venerable art that enjoys well-deserved respect in Asian countries. It is held in high esteem there that a couple of years ago, Singapore even founded an annual tattoo festival in January.
The appearance of new festivals is not too rare, but also not as frequent as we would like. Themed events such as the rallies of tattoo adherents always attract many guests: body painting lovers are very enthusiastic people. This is evidenced even by the price of a tattoo, which reaches many thousands of dollars.
However, for the work of the master, real connoisseurs do not feel sorry for anything. After all, if you do not like the picture, you can take it off; but if a person does not like the picture painted on his own back, then the problem is much more serious. However, there are no complaints about the skill of the Singaporean "kohl": their work is an excellent example of the delicate oriental style developed by a centuries-old tradition. The great Asian port of Singapore has long been famous for its tattoo artists, because there has always been a great demand for leather painting among sailors.
Festivals like Singaporean (for example, the tattoo festival in Beijing) are a great occasion to meet artists and clients, talented artists and discerning connoisseurs. In addition, here you can see people and show yourself - and the spectacle is often really amazing. Graceful chrysanthemums, formidable dragons, mysterious fish and beautiful butterflies - all these favorite images of Chinese painting are captured on the backs, arms, legs, and even the faces of the guests of the festival.
The only problem with this interesting gathering is that it has been postponed this year. However, the organizers remain optimistic and believe that they will be able to create a long tradition of festivals. It remains to wish them good luck, and in extreme cases, the annual tattoo festival will turn into a biennale, but this will not make it less interesting.
