International tattoo festival, which took place in China the other day, gathered more than 100 high-class craftsmen from all over the world within its walls. For Beijing, where the large-scale event took place, this is a great cultural breakthrough, because earlier, a dozen years ago, a tattoo was considered here not as an ornament, but as evidence that a person is familiar with the "zone" by hearsay. However, for a long time, such an attitude towards tattoos was also in other states, where communism ruled at one time. Today, drawings on the body are not only rehabilitated, but also in great demand. Moreover, they are in demand among both the younger and older generations, so it is not surprising that more than half a million people considered it their duty to attend the three-day festival, and if not decorate with a "tattoo" as a keepsake, then at least look at the work of recognized masters.
According to tattoo artists, drawings based on mythology, as well as pictures, "amulets" or symbols, are now very popular in Japan and China. However, as elsewhere, among those wishing to acquire a beautiful tattoo there are a lot of victims of low-quality works of artisanal "kollers". People cannot always correctly determine what place on the body to "donate" to art, and over time they become owners of a blurred or deformed picture, from which they then passionately want to get rid of.
So, during the three days of the festival, visitors could attend master classes and fascinating performances held by visiting "tattoo jewelers", as well as admire a lot of the most amazing drawings on the body, many of which were done right before their eyes.
