While some artists break records of gullibility and come up with paper that looks like it can replace metal, others, in the truest sense of the word, are building their careers in a nearby junkyard. Chinese sculptor Yang junlin does not miss any of such garbage dumps, because there he finds the missing parts for his incredible sculptures. No, these are not sculptures in the form of people or animals - these are giant iron robot transforming … The artist began to engage in this kind of creativity relatively recently, since he is a fairly young, and most importantly, promising author. In 2006, Yang Junlin demobilized and, as cultural enlightenment and compensation for the army years, went to a contemporary art exhibition. There, his imagination was struck, and his heart was captivated by a huge sculpture of a man made of wire. If you can create such a thing out of cold and lifeless metal, why not try, Yang Junlin thought … And now for five or six years he has been bringing that very idea to life. Not alone - with assistants.

The artist has 10 hired workers as apprentices. Not because the master has "starred": for work he uses a variety of metal trash found in landfills, and the finished sculptures are futuristic transforming robots of impressive size. So, one of the sculptures, the Megatron tank, is 4.5 meters long, 3.2 meters wide, 2.5 meters high and it's scary to imagine how much it all weighs.

At the moment, the number of sculptures has already exceeded a thousand. All issues of saving, preserving and selling giant robots are handled by the Legend of Iron factory, specially created for these purposes by the artist.
