As you know, photographs give us the opportunity not only to forever document this or that event, the moment that we want to last forever. But it can also take us back many years. When grandmothers were students, grandfathers wore luxurious hair and fashionable shoes, and mothers and fathers wore diapers and gnawed on rattles. People are changing, they have a short age. But the streets and lanes, playgrounds and shops remain practically unchanged, and even the facades of houses and the furnishings of rooms sometimes remain the same as before for decades. Dear Photograf is a photo project created to bring together the present and the past through memories and photographs from family archives.

The creators of the photo project invite all their subscribers to play a not too new, but still relevant game with old archived photos. For example, take your photo, in which you are depicted in a stroller against the background of your grandmother’s flower bed, and photograph it so that the old photo matches the modern view of your grandmother’s flower bed. The flower bed is still the same, and you are already quite an adult, and the stroller has broken down long ago … Despite the fact that there are many more such projects, games with old photographs never bore those who have something to remember, something to feel nostalgic about in rare minutes of doing nothing.

The Dear Photograf project began, of course, with personal photos of the authors of the project, but then it gained such popularity that new photos, already from community members, are added every day, several pieces. They remember grandmothers and grandfathers, and childhood friends, and themselves, and their favorite pets, and weddings with birthdays. In general, everything that you would like to experience again, or what you often remember with a smile, gratitude or light sadness.
