In a skateboarder's dwelling, there should be no place for right angles: the original floors should smoothly merge into the walls so that you can roll along them even to the ceiling. An unusual room (either a house or a skate area) was created by architect François Perrin, designer Gilles Lebon Delapointe and professional skater Pierre-André Senisergue. The PAS project (according to the athlete's initials) allows you not to lose your skill and train even on the way from the couch to the sink. You can see the wonderful interior in the La Gaite museum in Paris.
French athlete Pierre Andre Senizergues has not parted with a skateboard since adolescence, and his whole life revolves around his favorite pastime. He has competed in 5 world championships and launched a line of safety shoes for skateboarders. And only the house disposed the tireless athlete to rest, because there was nothing reminiscent of skateboarding. Disorder!
The skateboarder never dreamed of peace. On the contrary, he began to dream about how, in the future, all city dwellers would stand on skateboards and use them around the clock, both through the streets and indoors. Such is the sports Utopia, according to Pierre-André Senisergue.
Pierre-André Senisergue decided to become the first swallow and set an example for other people who would not want to part with a skateboard even at home. And in the early 2000s, he invited designer and skateboarding fanatic Gil Le Bon Delapointe and architect Francois Perrin to work on the problem together. The result was the creation of the world's first residential skate court for the keen athlete.
The oval room is separated from the world by a translucent glass partition. It's quite cozy inside: rounded walls, oval slots on a decorative screen, pastel colors, wooden furniture, soft light create a feeling of comfort. At the same time, it is immediately noticeable that you can not only relax here: along the edges of the impromptu hard sofa, as well as the plates and sinks, there are metal pads on which it is convenient for a skateboarder to slide during training.
Now the interior of the house - the skate area can be seen at an exhibition in Paris, but in the future the authors hope to bring an unusual design to life by building a skate house on the Pierre-André Seniserga site in Malibu.
