Art not only ennobles a person spiritually, but also heals his soul. An example of this is Evangelisches Konigin Elizabeth Krankenhaus, a children's psychiatric clinic in Berlin. Everything in it is designed to unleash the creative potential of mentally ill children and, thereby, heal their souls.
The hospital is working with Dan Pearlman Creative Agency to renovate children's rooms as part of the Elise Island project. They turn them into fabulous decorations.
At the moment, three common rooms have been refurbished. These once gray and lifeless rooms have turned into festive, fabulous rooms with the names "Sand Castle", "Palm Huts" and "Clipper" (a kind of sailing ships). They are decorated in the appropriate theme, and this design is designed to maximize the development of the child's imagination, to encourage him to be creative.
Moreover, creative therapy has been practiced at Evangelisches Konigin Elizabeth Krankenhaus for quite some time. And, as doctors say, this type of therapy is very effective both in the treatment of mentally ill children and in their socialization.
Work to transform Evangelisches Konigin Elizabeth Krankenhaus Hospital into the fabulous Elise Island continues.

Naked farmers on the pages of a calendar released in support of the Mind Foundation for the mentally ill
What people do not do for the sake of charity! They give free concerts, donate old clothes to the homeless, organize auctions to sell unnecessary things. 20-year-old Emily Steaggles decided not to stop there and invited the farmers from Bedfordshire to undress. The nude photo shoot became the basis for the 2014 calendar released in support of the Mind Foundation for the mentally ill
Pictures of mentally ill people. Crazy art
Art heals, brings back to life, allows one to detach from the world, forget about problems and even, in some cases, helps to find a way out of the most difficult, seemingly, situations. It is not for nothing that in psychiatric clinics all patients undergo art therapy as one of the mandatory procedures. And the results of such procedures often delight even healthy, adequate contemplators
Tattoos for children: the artist pleases the patients of the children's hospital with drawings on the skin
This Sunday, New Zealand artist Benjamin Lloyd posted an announcement on his Facebook page that if his post gets 50 likes, he will go to the local children's hospital to paint tattoos for the kids there. Temporary, of course. His post got not 50, but more than 400,000 likes in just one night
Luggage from the mental hospital: a series of photos of the contents of the suitcases of the mentally ill
A very strange and peculiar, but atmospheric series of photographs of suitcases collected in an old abandoned psychiatric hospital, provides a unique opportunity to find out what people kept in their bags before they got to the hospital
