War can be photographed in many ways: by capturing portraits of its victims or executioners, showing traces of shells and destroyed buildings … Irish photographer Richard Mosse chose his option: using infrared film, scenes from military life are transformed in his photographs into bright and colorful images …
All images from the Infra series were taken in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, where an armed interethnic conflict has been going on for more than ten years. As mentioned above, the photographs were taken using infrared film, which is why what we are used to seeing in green tones suddenly turns pink-purple: grass, trees, even elements of military uniform. Made in this color scheme, the works acquire a magical and dreamy character, which does not fit at all with the plots of these photographs depicting refugees and armed soldiers. But the landscapes shot from a bird's eye view are simply breathtaking: it’s hard to believe that it’s worth going down a little lower, and on this magical land we will see suffering and destruction.
Richard Mosse was born in Dublin, Ireland in 1980. The first author's diploma is associated with the study of English literature, then followed by a second higher education in the field of fine arts and, finally, the entry in the third diploma of Mosse says that in 2008 he became a master of photography. His work can be seen in various exhibitions, as well as in art magazines. Currently Richard Mosse lives and works in New York (USA).

Etude in tones of green: foreign cartoonists about Spanish cucumbers
Spanish cucumbers, of course, ended up having nothing to do with it, but they made a noise and got into jokes, which means they will be remembered for a long time. It is unlikely that in a year most people will remember the strain of bacteria EHEC, but the fact that in a cheerful company of a mad cow and flu-like pigs and poultry, everyone has already reeled on their mustache. It remains only to evaluate the work of foreign cartoonists, performed during the hype, and with a clear conscience to close the topic that has defamed the good name of Spanish cucumbers
