15 years ago came out on television screens 12-episode action movie "Sarmat", which made the audience feel a lot of excitement. The role of the main character in the tape was played by the Russian actor Alexander Dedyushko, already well-known at that time. However, few people know that this series mysteriously became fatal for many people who worked on it. So, "Sarmat" was the last film that the Russian director Igor Afanasyevich Talpa managed to shoot, and for several more people this work was unfinished.

By the way, in 2004 Igor Afanasyevich Talpa was awarded the title of "Person of the Year" in the field of television for the creation of the television series "Sarmat". And what is curious, it was he who discovered the actor Alexander Dedyushko for himself and the audience and considered him the main character of all his future paintings, which he was not destined to shoot.

A few words about the series and its main character

The events reflected in the film originate from the 80s, when the war in Afghanistan was in full swing, and end at the turn of the century, in December 1999 in Moscow. The plot's intrigue is constantly evolving and changing due to the coincidence of circumstances. And it is almost impossible to guess where it will turn. And the very actions of the heroes of the series are unpredictable, everyone turns out to be capable of something that he did not even suspect in himself. In the plot, the authors intertwined the fates of many characters who played an important role in the dramatic events and the lives of the central characters.

Actor Alexander Dedyushko played in the film the role of the main character - the commander of the special forces unit, Major Sarmatov, nicknamed Sarmat. According to the plot of the picture, he is tasked with stealing the American superspy Matlow in one eastern state. The operation was successful and the agent was captured. But the group, which was supposed to cover the detachment in the territory controlled by the dushmans, did not come to the rescue in time, and the Sarmat detachment came under fire.

As a result, the agent was seriously wounded, and now the commander had to decide: to abandon the wounded American and facilitate the opportunity for a retreat, or by all means deliver Matlow to the location of the Soviet troops. Sarmat, like a real warrior, decides to bring the matter to the end and carry out the order … But having lost all his fighters, he himself falls into the hands of the militants. For many years in the homeland, the major was considered dead …

And only nine years after the end of the Afghan war, the former commander of the special group "Z" of the Soviet troops in Afghanistan, Major Sarmatov, who had been considered missing all this time, returned to Russia from nowhere. Accused of desertion and treason, Sarmat is taken into custody. And in Lefortovo prison, he tells the investigator the amazing story of his adventures that happened over these nine years …

A stunning film with a strong cast and an intriguing plot draws the viewer into adventure passions and keeps all 12 episodes in suspense, until the very end of the picture.

Alexander Dedyushko - a knight of the era

It must be said that Dedyushko, as an actor and as a person, was highly respected by the male half of the audience, especially the military, taking him for one of their own. Both military uniforms and shoulder straps matched him. He played fearless tough guys, true defenders of the Motherland, officers for whom honor and conscience are paramount.

In addition, he observed the code of honor in real life. He honestly earned his fame by taking risks on the set, performing dangerous stunts on his own without understudies. The actor, jokingly, called himself lucky, he really was very often lucky. But he seemed to be tempting fate all the time. On the set and in life, he often found himself on the verge of death, being desperate to the limit.

I don't want to play my death

Alexander has always organically fit in the role of strong, strong-willed, noble men. Over the years of his work, he has firmly established the role of a superhero. Although he dreamed of comedic roles, which, by the way, he was very successful. Before his death, Alexander was offered a role in another action movie, in which at the very end his hero dies. Not wanting to tempt his fate, he gave it up., - said Dedyushko, giving an interview.

But what was said was not destined to come true. Dedyushko never finished his last job. Unfortunately, three days after the interview, he, along with his wife and 8 year old son, died in an accident. They say that recently the actor lived on the brink of human capabilities - a very busy filming schedule and work in the theater. No sleep and no rest. Everyone is already so used to it, someone who, but Dedyushko will not suffer, will get out. This time I didn’t get out….
