Inhabitants Kiev lately, in bewilderment, strange objects have been discovered in various places throughout the city - small colored rooster headmade of plastic and concrete. It turns out that these are the works of a local artist hiding under a pseudonym Zhenya Bertolucci.
The world of art is well aware of contemporary artists Invader and Shepard Fairey, the first of whom pastes all over the world pixel images of the characters of the game Space Invaders, and the other - the word Obey, decorated with a stylized portrait of the legendary Bulgarian wrestler Andre Gigant. Kiev. Zhenya Bertolucci places figurines of cock's heads made of plastic or concrete in different parts of the Ukrainian capital.
Having a pedagogical and economic education, Zhenya decided to devote his life to contemporary art two years ago. And numerous figurines of cockerels all over Kiev is his first major project in this industry. Moreover, cock's heads are placed in different places not in an arbitrary order, but according to a system. The artist puts a certain meaning in each of them. For example, figurines in drainpipes should draw people's attention to the high level of environmental pollution in Kiev, and several hundred figurines in the grass of Mariinsky Park - to the problem of missing children.
Zhenya Bertolucci is also going to create and place a large number of rooster heads on stands in the form of Oscar statuettes. The artist called this project of his "Implementation", expecting that ordinary people will carry these works to their homes and thus his art will become a part of the life of hundreds of Kiev residents and guests of the Ukrainian capital.
Another large art project of the Kiev artist can be called a solid-sized portrait of his girlfriend, created from plastic and concrete figurines of crabs and submarines, which symbolizes her love for the sea. Several galleries at once offered to Zhenya Bertolucci to place this work at home, but the author decided to stick it on the transformer box in front of his house.
