It seems that someone in childhood did not play enough with dolls. This fact is evidenced by the funny and slightly provocative works of Australian artist Freya Jobbins, created from obsolete plastic pus. Moreover, at first glance, it is not even clear what this or that structure consists of. But the images are easy to guess. Freya Jobbins admits that he sometimes creates caricatures of friends and acquaintances, creating three-dimensional recognizable faces.

The search for material for sculptures, according to the author, does not pose any particular problems. Thousands of dolls are thrown away as unnecessary. It is more difficult to find details of toys of a certain shade for creating hair, details of clothes, accessories. Sometimes the author asks fans of his talent on social networks to find a doll of one size or another, but more often people themselves bring her toys, remembering the artist's unusual hobby. By the way, Freya Jobbins fundamentally does not use new dolls in his work, because part of the idea of creating a collection is the recycling of raw materials.

It takes an artist several weeks to create one three-dimensional figure. She carefully draws a sketch, collects toys that match in color and size, cuts them into small parts, after which a long and laborious process of gluing the components begins. This is probably why the work of Freya Jobbins is estimated at $ 380, which, in principle, does not prevent fans from not only buying ready-made sculptures from dolls, but also ordering them personally to the author.

I must admit that the work of Freya Jobbins looks much more harmonious than, for example, the famous Barbie collection from Margaux Lange. Although in both cases, the artists used details from old dolls in their work.
