Fangweng Restaurant in China can rightfully be called one of the most unusual in the world, as it literally "hovers" above the ground, located on a steep cliff near the famous Sanyou cave (its name translated from Chinese means "the cave of the three wanderers"). People come here not only to have a cup of tea, but also to admire the beauty of the surrounding nature and, of course, to think about the eternal.
The restaurant hall is located directly in the cave: numerous lamps hang from the untreated stone "ceiling", although the lighting is still dim, the walls have a characteristic gray color. For those who are not ready to taste traditional Chinese and Sichuan cuisine in the gloomy twilight, there are several tables that stand on a kind of "balcony": they are installed on a concrete platform and fenced with wooden railings, and literally hang over the abyss. If you have the desire to tickle your nerves, then it will be rewarded with the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful view that opens from here: the slopes of a deep canyon immersed in greenery and the picturesque Yangtze River, slowly carrying its waters.
In general, Fangweng is not a place for the faint of heart. To get to it, you need to overcome a suspension bridge for daredevils, and if emotions are not enough, you can entertain yourself with a jump from the bungee jumping platform installed next to the entrance to the restaurant. True, it is better to resort to extreme entertainment before a meal, since it is not recommended to do this on a full stomach.
