Somewhere far, far from the earth, in deep-deep space, there are probably other inhabited planets, where intelligent beings, similar to you and me, live. Sooner or later, earthly scientists will find a way to discover these worlds and civilizations, but for now … new planets are discovered by photographers and artists, and for this they do not need to go into space at all. It is enough just to look around. One of these pioneers can be considered the artist Christopher Jonassen … Culturology has already written about an art project called "Devour", which unites the planets he discovered, in search of which one must look not at the sky. Another explorer of "non-cosmic space" was the artist known by the pseudonym Gumballbrain … He also has several amazing planets discovered just on the streets of the city.

Other worlds and civilizations, new unknown planets in endless space are old fire hydrants, rusted in places, with peeling paint, cracked from rain, wind and snow. Gumballbrain turns the round knobs of these hydrants into planets, slightly tweaking the colors in Photoshop and overlaying the finished images on the texture of the starry sky. If you do not know, you will not guess what these celestial bodies really are.

So the artist now has entertainment for many years: walking around the city and looking out for new planets on the streets, which can be photographed and taken to your own home planetarium. And the author willingly shares all his finds on the pages of a creative blog.
