The work of artist Jun Kitagawa, a contemporary street artist, can be seen walking around the Japanese capital. His style is always a light "flirting" with the audience, and his humor is inimitable. For his new series of works called Zippers, the author came up with the idea of placing huge three-dimensional images of zippers on city walls, "revealing" the ins and outs of our world.
Kitagawa started doing street art by accident. So, without realizing it, the author created his first performance. Then he was selling T-shirts, and one day he was left with an unsold batch, which had to be somehow disposed of. Without thinking twice, Kitagawa decided to wear T-shirts over the city's nude statues. It's amazing how the police did not consider this as hooliganism and did not arrest the future artist.
Since then, Kitagawa's art has improved, only his ironic attitude to reality and his love for street art remained unchanged. In the project "Lightning" the author offers the viewer a fresh look at familiar things. Combining the mundane and the supernatural, he creates a new interactive environment that encourages the viewer to dialogue and reflection.
