Jewelry designers are modern alchemists. In their hands, shapeless pieces of metal turn into exquisite rings and bracelets, but even if this very metal has remained a shapeless piece, we can always say that this was the will of the designer, it was originally intended. Series of unusual silver jewelry Ars Metallica from Romanian designer Alina Alamorean is currently exhibiting at the Galerie BSL in Paris. A vivid example of how you can competently and exquisitely present jewelry that is very far from being called thin, graceful and delicate. Alina Alamorean's sculptural jewelery challenges contemporary jewelery by combining the best of the artist from both renowned artists and talented architects. Inspired by the works of Zaha Hadid, Ron Arad, Frank Gehry, Frank Lloyd Wright, Alina combines blackened silver with mirror-smooth and light in her products, and unpolished stones, revealing their natural imperfections, coexist with perfectly processed, smooth, shiny ones.
Matte and shiny, smooth and rough, light and dark - the eternal duality and inconsistency that creative people love to play around so much. And it seems that with her works Alina Alamorean once again strives with all her might to demonstrate to us the search for truth in the imperfection of forms. Who are we, where did we come from, and who did we become as a result?
An exhibition of unusual jewelry will run at the Parisian Galerie BSL until mid-May 2011.

The unsurpassed portraits of Valentin Serov (1865-1911) are like a mirror reflecting the true personality of the hero of the canvas, in which you can see the past, learn the present and even glimpse the future. Serov never considered himself a court painter, nevertheless he created several worthy portraits of members of the royal family. But once, when he was asked to create another portrait of the Russian Emperor Nicholas II, Serov replied: "I no longer work in this house."
Forest Spirit - Plant Spirit. Reflection of the God of Nature in the works of various authors
In Western furry culture (the art of depicting anthropomorphic animals) I have long observed one interesting tendency - some images created by one author become, as it were, the public domain, they are drawn by many. This could be called fan art, but fan art is usually created based on world famous works, and here they are just separate images created by a talented person and picked up by other talented authors. In this collection I want to introduce you to the spirit

The London-based photographer has been running his Rebel Without Pause project for several years now, in which he captures people (most often the elderly) who flatly refuse to live "according to their age" and their culture, and instead enjoy life according to their own rules and are in complete harmony with themselves
