Does not bark, does not bite, is called a dog. No, this is not the same symbol that appears in every e-mail address. They are amazing, original paper collagescreated by a talented author Peter Clark from a variety of waste paper found literally underfoot. As practice shows, the most original and creative works of art are usually obtained from trash, since such an unconventional material and an even more unconventional approach to its use, together, provide a much wider field for creativity. Take, for example, iron robots and iron men from scrap metal, spherical sculptures from all sorts of nonsense and black and white paintings from various rubbish. in the case of Peter Clark, the rubbish is not all different, but only paper. But not only newspapers, magazines and booklets are used, but also maps, metro maps, fire safety plans and the like.
After collecting a certain amount of waste paper, Peter Clark is engaged in sorting it. Each breed of dog has a certain sort of paper trash, in order not only to emphasize the characteristics of the breed, but also to be combined with this breed in meaning. Therefore, the French Bulldog is made from elements of the map of France, and the American Cocker Spaniel, as you would expect, is decorated with numerous US paper flags. And some dogs, mostly those that are so fond of glamorous young ladies, the artist did not forget to provide even the appropriate accessories such as medallions, hairpins and sunglasses. Everything is like in life, and even more.
It should be said that the artist is fond of collages in earnest. Besides dogs, he also has other paper works in the form of collages. You can see them in the portfolio on the author's website.
