Imagine this picture: a photographer, free from any projects, misses himself alone in his private home. He wants to do what he loves, but he is too lazy to go somewhere and call someone. What to do? Photographer Chris Mcveigh found the perfect solution: go for backyard and capture there the amazing adventures of a chipmunk who gets involved in fierce (albeit toy) Star Wars.
Sadly, chipmunks have little place in the art world. Only the amazing friends of Todd Warner, captured in the form of wonderful sculptures, are remembered. If, in general, we recall the projects dedicated to our smaller brothers in their most amusing incarnation, the first thing that comes to mind is a photo project by Beijing photographer Di Liu, dedicated to a giant fat animal the size of a house. And Chris Mcveigh, with his backyard project, glorified the glorious kingdom of chipmunks by telling us about the amazing adventures of one of them.
Well, to be perfectly honest, a few rodents played the role of the heroic hero. The chipmunk's allies and enemies were Star Wars toy heroes and figures from other Lego universes. Here and Yoda, and stormtroopers, and Darth Vader, but the main thing is, of course, the chipmunk.
As for Chris himself, he is a photographer from Halifax, Canada. Chipmunk Project in the backyard - just one of many. In addition, he is also an illustrator and writer, even created his own online magazine (not a blog, but a magazine).
Chris has been photography since 2007, when a friend convinced him to buy a digital SLR camera. He is now known for his quirky, in many ways funny photos, in which he uses everything from action figures to wildlife. backyard … Actually, it is these two things that he combines in the project “The Adventures of the Burundkuk”, one of the photographs of which was even used by Lucasfilms on the official website of Star Wars.
Chris Mcveigh's works can be found in detail on his website.
