American Caleb Charland combines in his works a love of scientific experiments and photography, resulting in unusual and amazing images. The author studies the properties of fire, water, light, electricity, and even if you did not like physics at school, then these photos are definitely worth seeing.
“As I explore the home space, from basement to backyard, I am looking for ways to use the mysterious properties of everyday objects and familiar materials,” says Caleb Charland of his work. - Each photo starts with a simple question: “How will it look? Is it possible? What happens if …? " - after which I develop the idea through experiments. In this work, my curiosity as a scientist is combined with a constructive approach to creating images."
According to Caleb Charland, all of his work is based on surprise - "a state of mind between knowledge and uncertainty." Every piece of his work involves everyday objects and fundamental forces, and the resulting images are familiar and strange at the same time. In many of the author's images, there is a human figure, which, on the one hand, serves as a key to unraveling the creation of a photograph, and on the other, introduces a certain mystery. “All images were created exclusively with the camera without any digital manipulation,” emphasizes Caleb Charland.
Caleb Charland was born in Maine, where he still lives. The author graduated from The Massachusetts College of Art and Design in 2004 with a BA in photography. In 2010, Caleb received his Master's degree from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Caleb's other scientific experiments, captured on film, can be seen on his website.

If in the land of the Soviets they did not know how to do something, then they definitely should not classify information. Moreover, the government has successfully managed not only to decide what citizens know, but even what to think about and what to talk about. All this looks like a grandiose experiment on a national scale, although there were much more of the latter, and many of them are still classified as "secret".
