It is difficult and very long, but interesting and incredibly beautiful: this is how you can briefly but accurately characterize art origami, which first conquered the east, and by leaps and bounds moves to the west, captivating and enchanting everyone, young and old. And no wonder the Japanese American, a young man named Shuki Kato, as a child, he became interested in the art of folding paper so that figures would turn out from it, and for several years he achieved incredible success. Shuki Kato first became acquainted with origami from a book by Robert Lang when he was nine years old. Sticking out his tongue with zeal, the student diligently made the figures proposed in the book out of paper, but when Robert Lang's schemes ended, and the entire chest of drawers was lined with small paper sculptures, the boy wanted to come up with something of his own, and not just repeat the work done by someone. And a few years later, when the young man came across the second book of the same Robert Lang, which was called "Secrets of Origami Creation", and read it from cover to cover, his first own origami figures were born.

Shuki Kato loves dinosaurs, insects and is fond of anime, so it is not surprising that his origami depicts exactly bugs, dinosaurs and characters from anime cartoons and TV series. However, the golden hands of a talented young man also fold figures of animals, fish, fantastic creatures such as dragons and unicorns out of paper. Shuki Kato puts each new scheme on paper and puts it in a special folder so as not to forget, not to lose, and in the future, perhaps, publish his own book of origami schemes.

It is not known whether the young origami master takes part in competitions, exhibitions or creative contests. But you can admire his work on the author's personal page on Flickr.
