Eleven years ago, Australian James Corbett started recycling old cars and suddenly discovered his talent as a sculptor. Now every car for the author is, first of all, a source of new parts, from which he creates his next masterpieces.
James Corbett created his first sculpture from car parts in 1999: it was a model of a sports racing car. Feedback from friends and potential buyers about this work was the most positive, and the author decided to continue his successful endeavor, creating sculptures of cars, birds and animals. Already in 2000, James left his business, devoting himself entirely to sculpture.
James Corbett takes a special pleasure in finding a place in the sculpture for every prepared detail. At the same time, the author always uses only original elements: it is out of the question to "fit" the part by, for example, bending or sawing. "The details themselves are sometimes very interesting, and some of them are over eighty years old!" James enthuses.
Sculptures by James Corbett can often be seen at exhibitions, mainly in the automotive field. And then these works are gladly bought by collectors and representatives of the automotive industry. The latter, by the way, regularly receive orders: for example, for the Toyota dealership in Brisbane, the author made a huge metal crocodile, and for Unique Cars magazine, James made a statuette, which is awarded in the “Car of the Year” nomination.
James Corbett lives in Queensland, Australia. If you are interested in his work, then a more complete picture of the author's work can be obtained by visiting him page in the Internet.

This time, the story is even more heartbreaking - the suffering of a young gas station, which is constantly dynamited by his beloved car
