Members of the Spanish art group Luzinterruptus love to amaze residents of big cities with their unusual light installations. We've already watched the guys lay out books on a New York street to increase the popularity of reading and staged in a Madrid park picnic involving aliens. In the meantime, Luzinterruptus wasted no time, so we invite you to check out their new work. In September of this year, that is, just the other day, the guys from Luzinterruptus were concerned about the unsatisfactory state of Madrid's beaches, which was reflected in their latest work. The installation required 200 paper cocktail umbrellas, which were stuck in a pile of sand, after attaching LEDs to them. Casual passers-by could watch the original spectacle for four hours. According to the authors, thanks to this installation, people should pay attention to how thoughtlessly we litter the coastline.
And a little earlier, in July, Luzinterruptus members simply walked along one of Madrid's streets and saw scaffolding with yellow balls, which serve to attract the attention of passers-by in order to avoid accidents. “Boring,” the guys decided, and with the onset of darkness they quickly corrected the situation. Yellow balls have become improvised nests, in which our heroes "settled" 130 colorful birds. Of course, there were also branded lights, which were placed inside each ball to achieve a cozy atmosphere. “We just wanted to make the scaffolding more visible so that people understand, as we do, that these small, familiar objects bring their own aspect to street life,” the authors of the project say.
