Video: Kobe Levy Hybrid Shoes

Israeli shoe designer Kobi Levi loves to combine the incompatible: for example, shoes and bananas, shoes and slingshots, or shoes and trolleys from the supermarket. At the same time, although the author calls his works sculptures, he claims that any of them is quite wearable. One can argue with this statement: it is difficult to imagine that someone would dare to wear this - the shocking Lady Gaga does not count. But looking at unusual shoes is curious anyway.
Here is how the author describes his creative process: “Some image comes to my mind, and there is a desire to create a new work. The fusion of this look and the shoe creates a new hybrid - wearable sculpture. Basically, my ideas go beyond the "world of shoes", which is why shoes are undergoing significant transformations. The result is humorous and unique. " All Kobi Levi's shoes are handcrafted from leather and other materials in his studio.
“When I design the next pair of shoes, I think of it as a sculpture to wear, as a work of art to live with. You and your body affect the look of your shoes, and they, in turn, affect your look. Shoes have a life of their own, regardless of whether they are on someone's leg or not, in contrast to clothes that exist only on humans,”says Kobe Levi.
Kobe Levy is an Israeli designer. Graduated from Bezalel academy of art & design (Jerusalem) in 2001. He is currently doing freelance work with Israeli and international companies. The author is also working on the design of his own shoe line, which is due to appear in Tel Aviv.

Eerie sculptures of hybrid animals. Metamorphosed Animals Project by Enrique Gomez De Molina
Inventing and reproducing new worlds that are inside ours, or even exist outside of time and space, artists and sculptors often inhabit them with outlandish creatures, the likes of which can only be seen in delirium, feverish dreams, or under the influence of potent "substances". Where they come from and where they go is unknown, but in modern art strange animals can be seen in the works of Jessica Jocelyn, Steve Bishop or today's hero of the publication, sc
