Usually, an artist or photographer, despite the abundance of different works, attracts attention with some specific project. In the case of Canadian Ginette Lapalme, this seems out of place, because everything she does - from painted sticks and pieces of wood and jewelry in the form of hearts to colorful comics and wonderful images - is equally worthy of attention.
Of course, different artists worked in each of these areas, but it is much less common for one person to immediately create so many diverse works, not only in theme, but also in form.
Who is this Ginette Lapalme? There is very little information on her on her website. Lives and works in Toronto, is a start-up screen printing company Halo halo, and is also a member of the Woweezonk comics community. This community, by the way, has a very interesting site woweezonk.blogspot.com.
In all the works of Ginette Lapalme, no matter how diverse they are, there is a tendency DIY - Do it yourself. This is especially true of one of the girl's most impressive creations - painted sticks. In general, she painted these pieces of wood for photography and subsequent application to T-shirts, however, even without being a drawing, the work is great. It shows how easy it is to turn ordinary things into a work of art. In this, by the way, she is somewhat similar to Tali Bukhler, who made flowers from rolls of linen paper and many more works from scrap materials.
The rest of Ginette Lapalme's works are worthy of no less attention, all of them can - and should be - viewed on her website www.ginettelapalme.com.
