The story of a princess imprisoned in a tower with long hair so sunk into the soul of Alice Anderson that, in the end, she made it a reality. Installation "Rapunzel" is more than three thousand meters of artificial hair stretched through all the museum rooms. From March 2 to April 24, 2010, you can admire the cascades of fiery red hair at the Riflemaker Gallery in London.

“Everything I do in my work is an attempt to say something about my past. - says Alice Anderson. "To do this, I create stories based on memories and objects that evoke certain feelings in me, sentiments that are sometimes very violent." The author considers memory to be a “master of fantasies,” as a result of which, years later, some events from the past seem to us more like a fairy tale than reality.

Alice Anderson was born in London but raised in the south of France. She studied art at Beaux-Arts in Paris and at Goldsmiths College in London.
