The chicken laid an egg for Easter. Yes, not simple, but gigantic. Therefore, the chicken's nest must match. Probably especially for such situations a Bavarian artist Nils-Udo and his support team have built a nest of incredible size and weight in the Clemson University Botanic Gardens. The amazing sculpture-installation got a completely logical name The nest … Numerous university students helped build the nest, using pine logs, bamboo and acacia from nearby plantations for construction. The building materials, formed by the ring structure, were held together with red clay dug in the very place where the nest sculpture was installed.
The finished work was delayed by 80 tons by weight. And despite the fact that this piece of amazing land art dates back to 2005, the scale of the art project continues to amaze, delight and even shock until today.
