For over 50 years Dale Chihuly, an American artist with Slovak roots, a talented glassblower, author of amazing sculptures made of multi-colored glass, pleases us with his masterpieces. Exhibitions around the world, museums and galleries, installations and author's art projects, all this looks so extraordinary that it seems as if the author is creating a fairy tale. Fragile, graceful, glass. This sorcerer with his glass fairy worlds is known all over the world: no one else is famous for such texture and complexity of works, depth of color and variety of forms of bizarre sculptures. They resemble seashells, leaves and petals of outlandish overseas plants, surreal chandeliers and other objects that defy unambiguous description. It seems that the author deliberately violates the existing rules and regulations governing this kind of creativity. But his game is worth the candle, as evidenced by the fame, recognition and popularity, which he literally shrouded from all sides, and for many years.
Huge, several meters high, glass sculptures by this author can be either single or multi-layered, consisting of a large number of elements, fixed on a single metal frame. Fantastic chandeliers with tentacle petals, outlandish flowers and other plants need special attention to themselves, and not only at the blowing stage, but also during assembly. So, some large-scale installations by Dale Chihuly, consisting of many such multi-layered works, require about a month to prepare, but when everything is built, assembled and ready, you cannot take your eyes off the glass masterpieces of the talented maestro.
Even the car accident that happened to the artist in 1976 and deprived him of an eye did not unsettle him and did not make him give up his beloved work. Yes, unfortunately, Dale Chihuly can no longer hold the pipe and blow the figures out of glass. But instead, he took on the role of choreographer, production designer and director of each new project, providing overall guidance to the glassblowing team and developing schemes and drawings for future sculptures and installations. You can see the author's work on his website.

Other Through the Looking Glass: a fairy-tale world in the paintings of Anna Berezovskaya
You find yourself in her paintings as if through the looking glass. Here you can meet knights, queens, and beautiful ladies - all that is not already in our life. The artist Anna Berezovskaya admits to her fairy-tale world only the good and the bright, which is in the real world. There is a lot of childishness in her paintings, but they are made by a rather mature hand of the master. This professionalism somehow does not match the young age of the artist
Why critics called the tale of Masonic initiation the fairy tale "The Black Chicken" by Pogorelsky
The first author's fairy tale for children in Russian was written back in 1829. The story was accused of excessive morality and infernality, however, 200 years later, "The Black Hen, or Underground inhabitants" remains the same exciting and still teaches children simple and eternal truths
Creativity without rules: glass sculptures by Dale Chihuly
The originality of Dale Chihuly's work lies in the fact that he refuses to believe in the existence of certain rigorous norms that must be adhered to. This man has been creating stunning glass sculptures for over forty years and, perhaps, the only rule that Dale follows in his work is the denial of rules in general. It would seem a strange formula, but the author's numerous sculptures and installations have been proving for almost half a century that despite
