London artist Paul Morrison know as an adherent of monochrome graphics and the author of large-scale paintings of walls, ceilings and fences. No, he is not just another artist covering the facades of urban and suburban buildings with graffiti. Paul Morrison creates large-scale murals Flower murals, focusing on the beauty of nature, namely, on floral motifs, masterfully weaving giant painted ikebana into the modern architectural environment. While most Floral murals not only include flowers and other plants, but also display human creations such as factories, houses, roads, bridges and towers, Paul Morrison leaves plant life in the foreground, while the man-made landscape remains only complementing the main picture, a kind of background.
Another feature of Paul Morrison's work is the use of a monochromatic color scheme in painting. Often he adheres to the classic black and white range, but sometimes, as an exception, he creates his works with 24-carat gilded acrylic paint in combination with classic white paint. Moving away from the traditional black and white color scheme, he still uses only two colors: gold and white.
No matter what color scheme the artist uses for a particular mural, each of his Floral murals is more than just a beautiful mural. Looking at the walls covered with floral landscapes, the viewer can take time out from the hectic life filled with all kinds of "needs" and "has to" in order to appreciate the beauty of nature, and flowers in particular.
