Metal is a good conductor of electrical current. And if an emotional charge can be compared to an electric one, a sculpture Ecstasycreated by the master Karen cusolito, it was not in vain that 9 tons of scrap metal were spent. This sculpture, depicting an emotional woman in a state of euphoria, is literally meant to embody passion. It is difficult to imagine, but this huge sculpture, reaching 30 feet in height, was created in a very short time. The Ecstasy figure demonstrates the correct silhouette and expressive female forms, tightly twisted from metal, mainly chains and individual elements of various techniques. From this material, the sculptor masterly shaped the skin, hair, head.
It looks abstract, but if you look closely, you can distinguish between the skeleton and internal organs in the ornate drawing. This sculpture has a completely recognizable rib cage, a central spinal cord, and even an illusion of muscles under the skin.
A woman frozen in ecstasy, emotionally thrown back her head, is just one of the many talented works of this author. More details about the art can be found on the Karen Cusolito website.
