Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival Is one of the largest events of its kind in America. Goldenvoice holds it annually in Indio, California, located in the Coachella Valley. This year, for the first time, the festival is held in two stages: the first three-day dance marathon has already been attended by about 225,000 people!
The festival has a long history: it first took place in 1999, and since 2001 has been held annually on the third or fourth weekend in April. This year, the organizers decided to please all fans of indie rock, hip-hop, electronic and pop music and decided to hold the festival in two stages. About 140 musicians will perform on the stage of Coachella 2012, most of whom are world stars! The headliners of the festival this time were The Black Keys, Radiohead, as well as the duo of Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg. Previously, Madonna, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rage Against The Machine, Jay-Z, Muse and other famous performers played here.
The real highlight of Coachella 2012 is the "performance" of the legendary rapper Tupac Amaru Shakur (2Pac). As you know, the musician died in 1996 at the age of 25, but with the help of the latest technologies, the organizers managed to create a three-dimensional holographic image of the artist on the stage.
At the festival, everyone can choose entertainment to their liking, because there are several stages on the territory at once: the main stage (Coachella Stage), outdoor theater (Outdoor Theater), Gobi Tent, Mojave Tent and Sahara tent (Sahara Tent). In addition to excellent music, the festival is famous for its art and sculptural exhibitions and installations, which are held at a fairly high level! More information about the festival can be found on the website!
