Artist Lisa Nilsson from Massachusetts - one of those who consider paper to be the ideal material for creative maneuvers, and prefers to do all of their work with only one hand. True, she does not cut or fold the paper, but curls it. This technique is called quilling, and what comes of it can be seen in Lizin's art project. Tissue Series, or, as it is also called, "paper anatomy". From the outside, all these internal organs in section, the structure of the skull, skeleton and other anatomical images seem to be drawn or sculpted from plaster. But if you look closely, it becomes clear - every bone, every vein, vein and muscle of anatomical exhibits is made of multi-colored, neatly twisted strips of paper.

For each job, Lisa Nilsson takes several months of painstaking work. And this painstaking work of the artist is especially noticeable in those parts of the products that differ in size. It is necessary not only to "wind" a lot of tiny paper tubes, but also to place them with special care inside the already finished organs.

By the way, Lisa Nilsson not only made paper exhibits for anatomy classrooms herself, but also wooden boxes, in which they are neatly packed. You can see these and other paperwork by the artists on her website.
