An art project called Scribbled line people, the creative work of a designer and artist Ayaka Ito and her colleagues Randy Church, was born under the impression that the amazing sculptures, woven of wire, made on the authors. Wanting to create something unusual, in the spirit of these wire sculptures, Ayaka Ito and Randy Church tried to bring their idea to life using modern technology and 3D modeling. The concept of the project was to transform ordinary digital photographs into "electronic" sculptures, as if they were woven from wire strands. To do this, Ayaka Ito and Randy Church cut the photographs selected for the project into thin strips using Photoshop and Flash, and then, using three-dimensional modeling, recreated the stripped photographs in the form of sculptures.

The intricacies of lines, color transitions, the play of light and shadows really add volume to the images, so it really seems that these are not electronic, but real sculptures, filmed by a photographer in one of the galleries of contemporary art. Thus, photographs have taken on a new form, and the path from the two-dimensional world to the three-dimensional one has become even a little shorter.

By the way, initially the Scribbled Line People project was a student work of a design duo, which they conceived back in 2008, when they were studying at the Rochester Institute of Technology. More information about the project is on Ayaka Ito's website.
