Fog and sun, wonderful day! You are still dozing, dear friend … And the Polish photographer Boguslaw Strempel has been on his feet for a long time: he went on a photo hunt for unique shots that can be caught only at a certain time of the day and under certain weather conditions. One has only to hesitate a little, and the opportunity will be irretrievably lost. We'll have to wait until tomorrow. Or until next week. Or until next season. That is why the rare, unique sunny-foggy landscapes of Boguslav Strempel cause such a stir, and the desire to admire them again and again. Photography is on the verge of painting and computer graphics, such an impression is made by the works of this author in the first seconds, and they fall in love with themselves at first sight. For all his skill and talent, Boguslav Strempel is a photographer, self-taught, enthusiastic enthusiast, in love with the nature of his native Poland and neighboring Czech Republic. Here, not far from his home, he shoots his amazing landscapes of rare, inspiring beauty.
Armed with a camera and long-focal high-aperture lenses, Boguslav Strempel never dawn into the forest, to the mountains, to the hills in the river valleys. He needs to have time to be in place precisely in that short period of time when the remnants of the night fog, which did not have time to dissipate at dawn, meet the first rays of the morning sun. By the way, many landscape painters consider the sun to be the ideal lighting designer and the photographer's best assistant, you just need to find a common language with him. There are no two identical sunrises, the sun never paints the sky and clouds with the same palette of colors and shades, so morning and evening landscapes turn out to be so different, so colorful, so delicate and so unique. The sun's rays add gilding to the frame and make it more picturesque, the fog covers the landscapes with a mysterious haze. Looking at them, you involuntarily hold your breath so as not to disturb the fabulous atmosphere that prevails in the photographs.
However, it is not only foggy morning landscapes that inspire the photographer. In his portfolio you can see a lot of amazing, colorful landscapes of the near abroad, and many of them will give odds to the creations of eminent painters who glorify the beauty of nature, the freshness of spring and the depth of the clear sky.

Day and night in one shot: amazing photos of New York
It seems that the sun was just shining outside the window. You take your eyes off the monitor - the Egyptian darkness. The day that had so much to do was over and the lanterns came on. Does it sound familiar? Photos of New York, taken by Stephen Wilkes, make it possible not only to compare the same streets at different times of the day, but also to feel how quickly time passes: you will not have time to look back, and the day has already turned into night

British artist Felix Beato arrived in Japan in 1863 and spent over 20 years in that country. He became a pioneer in coloring photographs, and his work is valuable and unique due to the rarity of photographs of Japan during the Edo period - the time of the establishment of the Tokugawa dictatorship and, at the same time, the "golden age" of Japanese literature. The result of his work was 2 volumes of photographs "National Types", which included 100 genre and portrait works, 98 city panoramas and landscapes. In our review there are 25 photos and
