Torgeir Schjolberg is a contemporary Norwegian artist. Works mainly with motives from the northernmost regions of Norway - the Lofoten Islands. The nature of northern Norway has become a constant theme in his watercolors. Special lighting in both summer and winter encourages people to try new ways of working in which colors can sound free.
The artist is from Buda. The Schjolberg family has left a notable mark on the city as … renowned fishmongers. Torgier was educated at the National College of Art and Design, Oslo, graphics department from 1967 to 1972. He studied watercolor under the guidance of a professor Arne isacsson.
- In the first years after graduation, I worked on project design. Courses for adults and children, I started already in 1975. In 1985 I applied to join the Norwegian Artists Society. Since then I have participated in the jury of collective and group exhibitions of Indian ink, graphics, oil painting, acrylic, sculpture and watercolors, and had solo exhibitions all over the country. Watercolor is the expressive form that best suits my temperament.
The artist has a rather unusual watercolor - with "torn" contours - under a thick brush. And the colors are mixed with interesting, "semi-aqueous". The strokes are reminiscent of Marche, the glare of light is simply masterful. Transparent, frosty, very Scandinavian. It is especially pleasant to contemplate his work in the summer heat of thirty degrees. For more information, visit the artist Torgeir Schjolberg's website.

The play of color and light in autumn watercolors by Roland Palmaerts
The Belgian artist Roland Palmaerts paints the autumn landscapes of Canada in watercolor and mixed media. And it seems that he understands autumn in a way that no one else has been able to do. The artist seems to look into her soul, where he sees bright sun glare on the orange crowns of trees, peaceful squares and parks, streets and alleys dozing in the rain, while the rest only glide along her glance, which is why they see only rain, dullness and dampness
