Watercolor and mixed media painting Belgian artist Roland Palmaerts paints autumn landscapes of Canada. And it seems that he understands autumn in a way that no one else has been able to do. The artist seems to look into her soul, where he sees bright sun glare on the orange crowns of trees, peaceful squares and parks, streets and alleys dozing in the rain, while the rest only glide along her glance, which is why they see only rain, dullness and dampness. However, this is not surprising, because Ronald Palmaerts grew up in a family where both his grandfather and his father were artists, therefore, he was surrounded by art and beauty from birth. In addition, he had before his eyes living examples of how to work and what to strive for. It is not surprising that he began to paint very early, and already at the age of six he became the winner of the Tintin children's drawing competition, and while studying in Brussels at the Royal Academy of Arts he received the first prize for watercolor painting.

Actually, it was watercolor that became his favorite type of art, and it has remained it to this day, even though the artist presented paintings drawn with Chinese ink and in the appropriate style at the first solo exhibition called Men of the World. But in subsequent works, Ronald Palmaerts uses exclusively watercolors, or combines them with acrylic. This gives him the opportunity to play not only with flowers, but also with light, literally "lighting up" his landscapes, piercing them through with the sun's rays.

This nuance is a distinctive feature of the author's style of the artist. He, and also a love of contrasting colors and shades. Agree that in autumn it is so much fun to meet a brightly dressed person on gray streets, or to see a colorful umbrella in the crowd, not to mention how festive the yellow and orange foliage of trees looks against the background of dark brown trunks and branches.
