Video: Watercolors that blow away the roof. Works by Zach Johnsen
2024 Author: Richard Flannagan | [email protected]. Last modified: 2023-12-15 23:55
Young American artist Zach Johnsen masterfully owns a brush and watercolors, pencil and ink, and just as masterfully controls his imagination, which gives him plots for incredible, enchanting illustrations with a psychedelic bias. Like many of his colleagues, the artist depicts our world as it looks from his own point of view. True, the author is in no hurry to speak at exactly what angle one needs to look at in order to see the same thing. A graduate of the Massachusetts College of Art, Zach Johnson has a long passion for painting and graphics, preferring watercolors and fantastic subjects. In his illustrations, the author depicts people in rather gloomy otherworldly images, thereby criticizing their vices, as well as unsightly character traits and demeanor in society.
Have you ever claimed that your head is about to explode from pain, information overload, or loud noise nearby? The explosion of the brain, the demolition of the roof and the blade of the head - all this can be seen firsthand in the illustrations by Zach Johnsen. One of the latest series of his amazing works, called Acid Over Easy, is dedicated to this topic. Well-dressed business people, some with a cup of coffee, some with ice cream or a donut, and some with a briefcase with a pile of papers - all of them suffered from an unknown misfortune that blew their heads off their shoulders. And now a powerful multi-colored fountain gushes at this place. An exhibition of these enchanting illustrations took place in mid-February 2011 at the Backwoods Gallery, one of Melbourne's galleries.
Zach Johnson's works have been repeatedly highly praised by critics, which brought him incredible popularity not only in the United States, but also far beyond the borders of his homeland. Today, the artist paints with watercolors and oils, is engaged in design and graphics, decorates furniture and interiors, shoots videos, in general, opens up all new talents and opportunities. These and other works can be found on Zach Johnsen's website.

Mountain landscapes of Anton Yankovy. On the roof of the world
Mountain landscape is a genre that requires from the photographer not only the right hand and eye of the artist, but also strong legs and a strong back: whoever sits in an office will never understand the beauty of mountains.
